David Cohen is the founder and Executive Director of TechStars. He has a passion for helping startup companies and setup the TechStars program to help bring capital, connections and real-world experience to provide a unique opportunity for early stage start-ups.

David is a founder of several software and web technology companies including Pinpoint Technologies (now ZOLL Data Systems) of Broomfield, Colorado. While at ZOLL Data Systems, David was also the CTO. The company was acquired by ZOLL Medical Corporation (NASDAQ: ZOLL) in 1999. You can read about it in No Vision, All Drive [Amazon]. David was also the founder and CEO of earFeeder.com, which was sold to SonicSwap.com in 2006.

Kevin Mann is the founder of Take Comics which is the first (and only) overseas team to be accepted on TechStars programme during its first three years.

Take Comics provides online digital versions of comic books. The company has relationships with comic book publishers and has technology which converts the print format into pixel-perfect digital formats optimized for desktop and mobile experiences. The comics themselves are visually stunning both on the desktop and on devices such as the iPhone. Comics can be purchased directly through the iTunes style application which also includes a variety of social features and content discovery mechanisms.
